Mission Action Group

Welcome to the home page of the Silkbap Mission Action Group.

The Mission Action Group (MAG) get together approximately every 6 weeks. 

The MAG’s objectives include:-

• Stimulation of regular prayer for Missions throughout the Church.
• Assist the Pastoral team in promoting missionary needs worldwide.
• Encourage systematic communication between Church members and missionaries.
• Promotion of Missionary interest and involvement throughout the Church.
• Encourage training and mission service for committed Christians in the Church.
• Spearheading of Missionary weekends and conferences.
• Assistance of Missionaries and their families when at home and abroad.
• Encourage systematic financial support for special Missionary or mission needs.

We recognize that the entire Church should have a deep concern for the welfare, support, and encouragement of those whom God has called from our fellowship to serve Him throughout Australia and overseas. 

The Mission Action Group is empowered to coordinate and encourage the Church in fulfilling God’s plan for His Church worldwide in accordance with Acts 1:8.
“When the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere – in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”  (NLT: Acts 1:8)

We also organise an Annual Missions Weekend. For 2012 this will be 26th and 27th May with Pastor Seta from Fiji as our main speaker.

We encourage anyone who has a heart for mission to become a part of this team.

The church family can financially support MAG by placing gifts in an envelope marked MAG, and placing them in the offering during a Sunday service.  We continue to thank those who support this valuable ministry.
