Centenary Celebration

It's Our Centenary Year! Come and Celebrate With Us!

• Sunday 11 March 2012 – Morning Worship with Guest Speaker Rev Dr David Loder – General Superintendent of Queensland Baptists. Celebrating the first worship service in the area in March 1912.
• April 2012 – Celebrating Men’s and Women’s ministries over the years – details to be confirmed.
• May 2012 – Celebrating a centenary of Missions – Missionary Weekend with Guest Speaker – date and speaker to be finalised.
• June 2012 – Celebrating Sports Ministry over the years – details still to be finalised
• July 2012 – Celebrating Children’s Ministry over the years – details still to be finalised.
• August 2012 – Celebrating Ministry to Seniors with special program during Seniors Week commencing 13^th August and a Hymn Fest with the The Crusade Choir on the afternoon of Sunday 19^th August.
• September 2012 – Back to Silkstone Month with special morning teas each Sunday, including photos, displays, and presentations and greetings from former people from Silkstone.
• OCTOBER 2012 – GRAND CELEBRATIONS
  • Saturday 20^th October – Concert featuring the Male Voice Choir.
  • Saturday 27^th and Sunday 28^th October – main celebration weekend including Dinner on the Saturday evening and with Rev Peter Francis from City Tabernacle Baptist Church as Guest Speaker for the weekend.
• Sunday 11^th November 2012 – Centenary Celebrations Finale Worship Service – “Where to from Here?”
